Train to Gain works by
- identifing the skills a business needs
- pinpointing the right training
- agreeing a tailored training package
- sourcing available funding
- reviewing the progress the business makes
Priority funding is available for businesses who have:
- employees without a first level 2 qualification (ie less than 5 GCSEs)
- employees who first enrol on Skills for Life numeracy and literacy qualifications

Train to Gain at Liverpool Community College
Liverpool Community College has a range of specialist areas to help you meet your workforce development needs. The delivery of training is underpinned by a CoVE (Centre of Vocational Excellence) in hospitality, catering and torism.
Train to Gain provision includes NVQ 2 and 3 qualifications in:
- Food Preparation and Cooking
- Patisserie
- Baking
- Food and Beverage Service
- Customer Care
- Bar Service
- Front Office
