National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) are the main qualification of the Apprenticeship programme however Retail Skills Forum members also offer NVQs as a standalone qualification.

Train to Gain

Train to Gain is a service for employers administered by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC). Through experienced skills brokers, Train to Gain helps identify and source training that will improve a company's workforce skills and business performance.

 

The key elements of Train to Gain are that it

  • offers free impartial and independent advice to businesses
  • matches any training needs identified with training providers
  • ensures that training is delivered to meet business needs.

Health and Safety

Some members of the Retail Skills Forum offer one-day health and safety courses. These are CIEH Level 2 Certificated awards and the courses are organized and run on demand.
